When I first began to use this product, I had given up on just about everything from high end to low end priced products and their claims to do "this or that" for my skin. My skin is oily to combination and have had a difficult time finding just the right day time moisturizer that would work well with my skin. As soon as, I applied one of those "other" day time moisturizers onto my face, the product felt thick, shinny, like it would just sit there on top of my skin and within minutes the product would begin to "melt" on my face instead of absorb into my skin.Dr.Perricone's Face Finishing Moisturizer is a moisturizer that applies smoothly onto my skin, as it absorbs evenly into my skin. A small amount of moisturizer is applied all over my face (and neck) for day time moisturizing achieving a positive outcome on the overall appearance of my skin.Once applied, my skin tone looks even, pores appear smaller, lines have lessened and I love the soft feel of my skin after using this product. I no longer have to be concerned about my day time moisturizer "melting off my face" as this product smoothly absorbs into the skin, leaving a fresh glowing appearance.I feel, with my continued use, my skin looks smoother, softer and better than before I used this product. I have used other Dr.Perricone products, which I am pleased with their outcome, along with this "Face Finishing Moisturizing Cream." For night time I use, "Concentrated Restroative Cream" and my daily serum is, "Advanced Face Firming Activator".

I was intrigued by this product until I compared the ingredient list to that of derma e's "DMAE - Alpha Lipoic C-Ester Creme". On the derma e label DMAE is listed as the second ingredient, and ALA is fourth, with C-ester coming in twelfth. Compared to the Perricone cream in which DMAE is the tenth ingredient, C-ester the seventeenth, and ALA way down at twenty-seven.And the derma e product is less than half the cost. Paying less money for a higher concentration of key ingredients seems pretty much like a no-brainer.

Less hydration than expected

I absolutely love Perricone MD. For example the sample pack of Cold Plasma (despite a full sized portion being beyond my price range unless sold in a set) turned out to be, after approximately a week's worth of applications, the Holy Grail of serious skincare. The Face Firming Activator was my first experience with the brand and, again, I was in love with the results - literally firmer yet somehow dewy skin. The Acyl-Glutathione is yet another stellar (pricey but worth it) product. A chance to regain a satisfying degree of ones youthful appearance is virtually guaranteed if you stick with these precious products. Unfortunately, my experience with the Face Finishing Moisturizer came in no way close to the success I found with the above mentioned rejuvenating examples. I know this is a very popular moisturizer, but for those of us with dry skin and occasional bouts of rosacea, this may not be the skin solution for you. I was surprised to be met with drier skin throughout the day and finally realized that reappyling the Finishing moisturizer was only making matters worse (a few red blotchy rosacea breakouts finally convinced me to put the bottle down and cut my losses). Of course this may have been an isolated incident, but if you happen to have dry sensitive skin like mine, I would look into some of the other wonderful alternatives found in the world of Perricone MD. Nothing, certainly not one unsuited moisturizer, could sway me from my loyalty to the profound respect I have for Perricone's creations.

Wish it was gluten free

I have been using this product for around 6 years and absolutely love it, unfortunately I have a gluten intolerance and this product contains wheat protein and wheat starch. I absolutely love the scent and the way it moisturizes my skin, it makes my face look amazing and bright. It does all that is says trust me, its my favorite and only face moisturizer. I may have to switch to the sensitive line, this is one of the few products that are not gluten free. I hope in the future that they will make it Gluten free without common allergen ingredients. I was so bummed.

I have extremely sensitive skin....and this works phenomenal for me!Perricone products have proven to be one of the things i can truly use! Pricey...but as with many things, "you get what you pay for"Love this product, great under the no foundation foundation~!Try it, you won't regret it!

I love this moisturizer. I had a facial years ago at a skin care facility and they used some of the Perricone products. I started trying his products after that and have been hooked ever since. I have tried others also but nothing compares to this. I have combination skin. I am in my early 50's and still have the oily T area. I just love this. It should be called "Crack for the Face"!! Dr. Perricone is TOP SHELF and I trust his products 100%!
