Dr. Perricone Discusses

Cleansing 101

1. Use a liquid cleanser or mild soap bar. Work into a lather, massaging in gentle circular motions for several seconds without rushing this step.

2. Rinse off thoroughly with room temperature water to remove stale oil, dirt, and dead dry cells. Never rinse with hot water as it can dry the skin.

3. Avoid irritation by using products with scrubbing grains, abrasive pads and astringents as they can disturb the skin and produce inflammation.

4. Choose a cleanser rich in antioxidants and such Alpha Lipoc Acid, DMAE or Vitamin C Ester.

5. Don't over wash. Cleanse twice daily to keep your skin fresh and radiant. Avoid the ultimate skin sin: going to bed without washing your face.
